US pulls refuelling tankers from Qatar base as Iran threat grows
Washington has shifted aircraft out of Qatar's Al Udeid Air Base for the second time this year, moving at least four KC-135 Stratotankers to Ovda in southern Israel. Tracking data since mid-July suggests more than 60 US refuelling aircraft have reached Israel, with 33 confirmed at Ben Gurion. The dispersal shields the tankers from possible Iranian missile and drone strikes.
