India's largest carrier IndiGo said on Monday it will order over 1,000 engines from CFM International to power 510 aircraft from the A320 neo family. The memorandum was signed at the Farnborough International Airshow in the UK. CFM is an equal joint venture between GE Aerospace and Safran Aircraft Engines. Chief executive designate Willie Walsh cited the LEAP engine's reliability.
