Supreme Court floats SIT to probe Ram temple donation claims
The Supreme Court on Monday suggested a Special Investigation Team of senior police officers look into alleged embezzlement of donations to the Ram temple trust, while warning petitioners against turning a straightforward criminal complaint into politics. The complainants want a CBI inquiry and publication of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust's full finances, including foreign contributions. The bench will pass orders on July 27.
