States line up Dearness Allowance hikes for staff and pensioners
A number of state governments are preparing Dearness Allowance increases for employees and pensioners, following the Centre's revision announced in April and effective from January 1. The Centre typically updates DA twice a year using All-India Consumer Price Index data, with announcements in March and October, to offset rising living costs.
