India's smartphone market hits a six-year low for the June quarter

India's smartphone shipments fell 10 percent year on year in the second quarter of 2026, the steepest June-quarter decline in six years, according to Counterpoint Research. Rising memory and component costs pushed device prices up, weakening budget and mid-range demand and lengthening replacement cycles. Memory prices have risen nearly fourfold since September 2025.
