Chinese-run Saindak mine warns Balochistan violence may halt output

Pakistan's largest copper and gold mine, the Chinese-operated Saindak project, told the energy ministry on 29 June that militant attacks on transport routes could force it to stop within a month, the Financial Times reported. Saindak supplies most of Pakistan's roughly $750 million in copper exports. Barrick has separately delayed the $9 billion Reko Diq mine over security concerns.
